- Grease a 9×13-inch pan or line with parchment paper.
- In the top of a double boiler over simmering water, melt the butterscotch chips, peanut butter, and butter, stirring frequently and scraping down the sides, until smooth (about 5 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in the marshmallows, coconut, and walnuts (if using) until evenly combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
- Refrigerate until set, about 1 hour. Cut into squares and store in the refrigerator.
