Easy Homestyle Meatloaf (Beef, Pork, or Blend)
This easy homestyle meatloaf is made with juicy ground beef (or pork, or both!), STOVE TOP stuffing mix, eggs, onion, and a splash of barbecue sauce for bold, savory flavor. Moist, hearty, and weeknight-friendly, it’s a comforting classic that comes together quickly with simple pantry ingredients.
Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, stuffing mix, water, eggs, onion, and optional barbecue sauce until well-combined.
- Shape the mixture into an oval loaf and place it in a deep, parchment-lined baking dish (not a baking sheet). Spread the barbecue sauce evenly over the top, then cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 50 minutes. Remove the foil and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the top to set and lightly caramelize.
Notes
Note: The barbecue sauce you choose will influence the flavor of the meatloaf, so pick one you love. You don’t need more than about a tablespoon in the meat mixture itself—the meat will taste great even without it. I like to add just a little to give it a subtle kick.
Important: I recommend baking this meatloaf in a deep dish, such as a Pyrex lasagna dish or roasting pan, to catch the grease that will render from the meat and keep it from spilling all over your oven.
